Jodie Laubenberg - Republican (Incumbent)
Representative Laubenberg is serving her seventh term in the Texas House. She is currently the Chair of the House Committee on Elections and a member of the House Committee on Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence. Previously, she served on Public Health for over ten years. She has also served on Financial Services and Natural Resources, authoring and passing legislation to help secure water resources for North Texas.
Rep. Laubenberg has authored and passed numerous bills that have helped the state and her district, as well as addressed the needs of Texas citizens. Most notably, during the 83rd Special Session, Jodie authored landmark pro-life legislation, HB2, "The Woman's Health and Preborn Pain Act".
Jodie is a sixth generation Texan, having family who settled in Texas in 1861. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Rep. Laubenberg worked in the computer industry until choosing to become a stay-home mom, thus devoting her time to family and community service. Jodie and her husband, Bob, live in Parker.
