AUSTIN, TX – Public Blueprint announced today that campaign veteran Jon McClellan has joined its public affairs team as Director of Outreach. McClellan brings with him a decade of experience working at both state and federal levels of government on political campaigns and as a legislative staffer.
“I am thrilled to be working side by side with Jon again,” said David White, Public Blueprint’s CEO. “As our firm continues to grow in the public affairs area, we must continue to employ both current and best practices from the campaign trail that can be utilized for the success of our clients. Jon’s experience and knowledge of the Texas and national electorates will be invaluable as we approach the 85th legislative session.”
McClellan and White previously worked together for Governor Rick Perry on his 2010 gubernatorial campaign and during the 81st legislative session for former State Representative Wayne Christian. Immediately prior to joining Public Blueprint, McClellan served as Regional Political Director for Senator Ted Cruz’s 2016 presidential campaign where he managed the political operations in numerous states, including the key states of Iowa, South Carolina, and Texas.
“I am excited to join this innovative and dynamic team of professionals,” McClellan said. “Public Blueprint is filling a void in the Texas market, and I look forward to leveraging my campaign, grassroots, and government sector experience for the firm and our clients.”
