J.M. Lozano - Republican (Incumbent)
J.M. Lozano serves as State Representative for Texas House District 43, which includes Bee, Jim Wells, Kleberg and San Patricio Counties.
The son of a medical doctor, J.M. was raised in Premont, Texas with his five sisters. Today, J.M. and his wife Abby live in Kingsville with their three children: Penny, Pepito and Carlitos.
As a small business owner, J.M. understands the problems of overreaching government regulations. He supports policies that create jobs, end lawsuit abuse and is an advocate of protecting the South Texas oil and gas industry.
J.M. is in his second term in the Texas House of Representatives and was re-appointed to the Energy Resources Committee which oversees the oil and gas industry in Texas. He was also appointed Vice-Chair of the International Trade Committee, helping to maintain Texas' status as the leading state for exporting oil, natural gas and agricultural products. He also serves on the House Republican Caucus Policy Committee and as Vice Chair of the House Energy Caucus.
