Chief Executive Officer
David White is a founding partner & Chief Executive Officer of Public Blueprint. He serves as our chief strategist and is known for his ability to see the big picture as he devises creative solutions to the most pressing problems.
This native of Whitewright, Texas (Population: 1,604) has made his way to the top of state politics with a combination of street smarts, relationship skills and an unmatched work ethic, which earned him a series of prominent positions in state government.
While serving as Comptroller Susan Combs’ Senior Policy Advisor, he was the point man for the agency’s relationships with associations, business groups, advocacy organizations and business leaders around the state. As chief of staff for State Representative Wayne Christian, he honed his leadership skills and served as Christian’s lead public policy advisor on key House committees including Regulated Industries, State Affairs and Business & Industry.
On the political side, David served as Governor Rick Perry’s political director in his re-election battle with a heavily-favored U.S. Senator and popular Houston mayor. He followed that by running a successful statewide election campaign for Comptroller Glenn Hegar. As campaign manager, David helped Hegar pull off the rare feat of winning a four-way primary without a runoff.
At every step along the way, David has exhibited a rare talent for seeing things from a different angle and offering outside-the-box approaches to his clients. While David appreciates recognition like repeated mentions on Capitol Inside’s “Lobby Power List,” his main satisfaction comes from client success.
Engagement in politics and policy is nothing new to David. He was politically active during his college years, reliably serving at the grassroots level and mastering the art of building effective relationships.
White holds a B.B.A in Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University. He lives in Austin with his partner in life and in business, Liz. In his down time he enjoys watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys and traveling to new places.
